Look Fabulous For Less!

Many women believe that in order to look great, they’d have to spend a fortune on clothing and accessories. Truth be told, most women with money to blow and a bit of fashion sense tend to look amazing much of the time. However, fashionable apparel and all those little extras don’t need to break the bank. You really can look fabulous for less!

There are a few tricks you can learn that can help you stay stylish and trendy without maxing out your credit cards. First, before you even think about shopping, consider any fashionista girlfriends you’ve got (around your size) who’d be into swapping clothes for awhile. You could even ask a fashion-minded pregnant friend to borrow her trendy clothes that she can no longer fit into.

Second, when shopping, hold out for real sales at your favorite shops. Five, 10, or even 20 percent off isn’t that much of a deal, especially if you don’t absolutely adore the chic piece of clothing you picked out. Hold out for a minimum of a 30 percent off sale—better yet, wait for 40 or 50 percent off.

Another look-fabulous-for-less trick is to avoid depriving yourself of little fashion treats while saving up for that big shop, but make sure you set limitations (for example, $15 a month for a new fashion accessory) and that you resist the urge to put it on credit. Also, if you’re really into the latest fashion trends, don’t shop out of season even though you’re sure to find super deals. Wait for sales in season, and you’ll find reasonable deals on great clothes that are in style and that you love.

And who’s to say consignment stores won’t stash precious gems here and there? You never know what you’ll find, particularly if you’re into vintage, and you’ll be paying a fraction of the price you’d pay at your favorite trendy shop at the mall.

And don’t forget the wonderful world that is cyberland. If you’re not used to shopping online, give it a whirl. You’d be surprised at what kind of spectacular deals—not to mention awesome selection—of fashionable apparel and accessories you can find online. Plus, shopping online is super convenient, and you can comparison shop right from the comfort of your own home.
